Other Software (VMS Utilities)

  1. Other Software
This section is a quick description of other software we have developed at Stony Brook.
    • Software Download point.

    • Some temporary items download.
    • Additional VMS utilities (not yet available from our software page or download script)

    • AGREP for VMS
AGREP is a Unix "grep" program but has approximate matching capabilities.

    • DCC Disciplined C Checker.
dcc is a C checker program, described in the December 1995 issue of ACM SIGPLAN Notices.

    • DIRBYDATE
    • EVE+
EVE+ is a section file for the EVE/TPU VMS editor which provides additional features such as automatic paragraph formatting, comment, E-mail interface, sorting capabilities, auto indentation, character matching, Unix style file syntax, print possibilities (range or buffer, with possibility of having a PostScript formatter) etc ... Full help is supported

    • The TOPDrawer utility.
executables (VAX VMS 5.5-2 and AXP OpenVMS 6.1) are available from the above link. Read AAAREADME. file first to setup the appplication for your site (you have to change some lines).

  2. Research software
This section gives you the list of software we use in our research. They are simulation code or analysis processing packages developed by members of our Nuclear Chemistry Group. Documentations available.
    • MODGAN.ZIP Updated on : April 10, 2000
Simulates heavy ion reactions including statistical decay of reaction products and particle-particle correlations due to final state interactions.
Some MODGAN EVENT files (created on April 10, 2000).

    • MENEKA.ZIP Updated on : April 10, 2000
Calculates small angle correlations due to final state interactions in two step emissions and includes contributions from compound particle decays.

    • DALI libraries.
This set of libraries has been developed to provides easy-to-use functions which gives access to the Michigan State University Physics Tape format as well as its device configuration. SHARE executable download, software help and program examples are provided.
